Every Christian should belong to a local church and become an active part of that church family. If you are looking to make North Flushing Baptist Church your church home, there are four steps to becoming a member.

Step 1 – Have a Personal Relationship with God
North Flushing Baptist Church is a family of individuals who have put their faith in Jesus Christ alone for eternal salvation. If you have never made the decision to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, it is the most important decision you can ever make. We would be thrilled to talk to you about it and personally explain what the Bible says about how you can know for sure you are on your way to Heaven when this life is over. Step 2 – Meet the Baptism Requirement
If you have accepted Christ as personal Savior, but have not been baptized:
After you have accepted Christ in salvation, you may follow God’s simple command of being baptized. Baptism is not necessary for salvation; it is simply a public testimony of your faith. As you follow Christ in His command to be baptized you have completed the biblical requirements to become a member of North Flushing Baptist Church.
If you have accepted Christ and have been baptized but you are currently seeking a church home:
If you have already accepted Christ and have been baptized and are in agreement with the doctrinal statement of North Flushing Baptist Church, you may present your testimony of salvation and be received into membership by your statement of faith or transfer of membership from another church.
Step 3 – Understand Our Purpose and Beliefs
North Flushing Baptist Church is a Bible-believing Baptist church united in our purpose to love God supremely, love one another sincerely, love those without Christ sacrificially, and teach believers systematically. We are also united in our belief about basic truths from the Bible. You will have the opportunity to learn of our purposes and beliefs by talking to our Pastor. Step 4 – Meet with Pastor
We would be happy to welcome you into our family here at North Flushing Baptist Church.
Membership is finalized after a meeting with Pastor so he can answer any questions you might have. Once Pastor meets with you, then a congregational vote will be taken at the close of a service to add you to membership.
Once these steps have been completed, you will be accepted by our church family as a member by a vote at the end of a service.
