WHAT TO EXPECT

Visiting a church for the very first time can be a bit nerve-racking. “Where do we go? What do we wear? What will the services be like? Is there anything for the kids? Will my family be accepted?” All of these questions are normal. We want to put your minds at ease. Your first visit at North Flushing Baptist Church will be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family. Hopefully, the following information will be helpful. If you have a question that is not covered on this page, please do not hesitate to contact us.

What Should I Expect?

You can expect to feel “at home among friends” when you visit North Flushing Baptist Church. Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed by one of our friendly volunteers. They will be glad to answer any questions you may have and then direct you to wherever you need to go. If you decide to visit our Life Groups at 10:00a.m., both you and your children will receive warm fellowship and a Bible-based lesson from one of our many faithful group leaders.

What about My Teens?

On Sunday mornings, INSPIRE students attend a Bible class for 45 minutes (starting at 10:00 a.m.) and then attend the worship service at 11:00 a.m. For more information about our student programs

What about My Kids?

Age-Appropriate Children’s Church:

During the morning worship service, your children will have a blast in one of our various Children’s Church services while you listen to God-honoring music from the choir and music groups in the sanctuary, followed by an instructive message from the Bible. We have a great children’s staff, as well as safe, clean facilities for infants, walkers, toddlers, preschoolers, and K-5th grades. The service is little over an hour in length. For more information about our children’s ministry click here.

Safe and Secure:

Families will receive a bar-coded tag that matches to their child’s tag so that our children’s staff can safely reunite parents/guardians with their children. This unique code also allows our staff to text you if needed. No cell phone, no worries. You will be given a numbered tag used to contact you discreetly on the bottom of the video screen in the worship service. You can create your own secure, free account in the KidCheck system by visiting go.KidCheck.com.

Once your account is set up, you are ready to check-in upon arrival simply by entering your phone number. Otherwise, plan to arrive a little early and our staff will be happy to assist you with setting up your safe KidCheck account.

Am I Expected To Participate
In The Offering?

No, we don’t encourage you to attend North Flushing Baptist Church for your offering. We want our services to be a blessing to you. As our guest, please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering.

What should I Wear?

There is no dress code at North Flushing Baptist Church for our members or guests. Many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, one of our main goals is that you feel welcome and comfortable during your visit with us.
